Adams J. Gonteski, Jr.

Adams’ gruff exterior hid a soft side that when you got the chance to see was an honor to be part of the group he opened his heart to. If he was quick to tease or give a good ribbing to those around him, that was just his way of showing affection. And if you turned it back on him it was all the better; he could take a joke just as well as he could dish one out. His adventurous side showed through his love of roller coasters, and he was even known to go bungee jumping. Adams was the former head of transportation for South Jersey Hospital (formerly Newcomb Hospital) in Vineland.rn Adams is survived by his spouse Ron Ostertag, with whom he lived in Vineland, his mother Ruth Ann (nee Daley) formerly of Riverside, sisters: Michelle Daley of Burlington, Katherine Warrick of Palmyra and Rose Marie Lewis of Browns Mills, his brother Michael of South Carolina, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Adams, Sr.rn Come celebrate Adams 48 wonderful years (Aug. 19, 1963-Oct. 19, 2011) Friday from 7-9 and Saturday from 9-10 at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside.
