Crystal Cooke

Crystal Cooke

Crystal was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was born and raised in Queens, New York before relocating to Willingboro, New Jersey in 1972. Growing up she was a bubbly, outgoing, and athletic girl with a little mischievous glimmer in her eyes. She did everything from roller skating to dance to softball, and her musical tastes ranged from old school rap to R&B to country. She attended Holy Cross High School, class of ‘79. She also attend Burlington County College. Everyone that knew Crystal knew that family was most important to her: their biggest supporter, her mother’s caretaker for many years, and she was always looking forward to the family being under one roof on Thanksgiving and Christmas (she was in charge of the turkey). She even started and coached the cheerleading squad for her niece, Kayla Marie, for the duration of her Kindergarten thru 8th grade school years. If her TV was on, she’d probably be watching sports: Eagles, Phils, golf, tennis, or basketball. She loved to travel: cruises to the Caribbean, Jamaica, the Bahamas, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas, along with the occasional trip to Vegas. If she didn’t want to get on a plane, she’d find her way to Lancaster, Virginia Beach, and Ocean City, Maryland.

Crystal is survived by her siblings: Kevin Cooke and Robin Cooke; her niece, Kayla Marie, along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents: John and Aida Cooke, as well as her grandmother, Evangeline Smith.

Please come celebrate 61 great years on Saturday October 15, 2022 10a.m.-noon at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly NJ. Services will be immediately following.
