Margery Rose (Diehl) Smith

Margery Rose (Diehl) Smith

The whole world knew her as Mom-Mom! The most dearest to her heart were her children and grand-children. She loved spending time with the girls.

She loved family dinners and game nights. Her grandchildren’s games she would never miss, even if she just sat in the car.

She had many jobs in her life, she worked at the Navy Yard Arsenal in Philadelphia putting parts together for military bombs. She worked at Campbells, and her last job was her most enjoyable. She worked for the Riverside Township School District in the cafeteria where she put a smile on all the kids faces everyday, as they did to her.

In the spare time she crocheted blankets, made many garters for prospective brides for their weddings, did scrap-booking, photo albums and loved to bake.

She loved to window shop, especially at Christmastime, her favorite holiday. She enjoyed taking trips to center city Philadelphia with her girls, to Macy’s and Gimbel’s,

She spent her 4th of July’s in Lawncrest for all the festivities and fireworks with her girls, grandchildren, and friends. She was able to travel a little later in life. Specifically to the Jersey Shore with her family, in addition to West Virginia, New York for Radio City at Christmas, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Disney World in Orlando Florida.

Her last two years found her at Wynwood where she made many friends and was the “Unofficial Mayor”.

Margery is survived by her children Margie (Ron) Kalbach, Ed (Carol) Smith, and Pam (Bernie) Wille.
