Paul Richard Hart Jr

Paul Richard Hart Jr

Paul Richard Hart Jr passed away on August 23, 2022. He was 64 years old.

He was one of a kind; you knew you’d never meet another like him. It was Paul’s easy-going ways that drew you in. He spent his life making friends and he kept them for a lifetime; and everyone had a nickname. His loud laughter followed by a boisterous clap would bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Quiet times found him in his garden: cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes. And he cooked a great steak and crabs that he’d wash down with a cold Miller Lite. He chopped all the wood in his backyard for his winter warmth. He played a little pool and cheered for the Eagles. Paul was raised in Moorestown and spent his later years in Boothwyn, PA. He was a graduate of Moorestown High School Class of 1976. He worked for the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Courier Post before becoming a Longshoreman for the Crowley Maritime Corporation at Petty’s Island, Pennsauken, NJ.  Dock work was his calling; brutal hours under the toughest of conditions but he loved every second of it.

Paul is survived by his two sons: Matthew (Meghan) Hart and Michael Hart; his significant other, Renee Burkholder; his mother Patricia Bryan; siblings: Debbie Hart (Tom) Fougeray, Lew (Colleen) Hart, Barbara Hart (Ken) Lessig and Jimmy (Terry) Bryan. He was predeceased by his father Paul R Hart Sr. and his step-father, James L Bryan Jr. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
