Clarence Davenport

Clarence Davenport

He was born to be a caregiver. If Clarence didn’t have someone to watch over, he’d be lost. Behind the stove he made the best stuffed peppers. If his T.V was on he’d be checking out some westerns, especially Gunsmoke, or some baseball. He preferred it to attending the games in person; better view. In his free time, he’d head down the shore and play some Fasination; heading home after he collected his prizes. Earlier years found him working at Hoeganaes; he retired as a supervisor. Clarence served our nation in the Marines.

He is survived by daughter Donna (Robert) Heston; his siblings: Lawrence (Carol) Ash, Jerry (Norma) Ash, Sam (Jackie) Ash, Helen Wills, Tommy Ash, Margie Ash, and Bobby Ash and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Come celebrate 88 great years Tuesday 10 a.m.-11 a.m., at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where there will be an 11 am service. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers donations may be to a charity of your choice.
