Elizabeth Kunteski

Elizabeth Kunteski

Although her faculties were somewhat limited, her love knew no bounds. Elizabeth loved the simple things in life. It is ironic that in her later years she was diagnosed with a hearing disorder because she was a powerful listener: she was thrilled to learn about the lives of those around her. She was a terrific babysitter; always fast with a buttered piece of rye bread. Her tastes were influenced by her polish roots, galumpkis and pierogies, and being from Riverside, since the days of Faunce’s she liked her boost with a pretzel. Many afternoons found her in her garden watering her plants. She rooted for the Phils, even in the lean years, and loved the soaps and Lawrence Welk. She spiced up holiday dinners; even when she said the wrong thing it always came out right. In her later years she played bingo and colored for hours on end.rnShe is survived by four sisters: Vera Ridgway of Burlington Twp., Anne White of Edgewater Park, Emma Cooper of Ocean City, and Marie Renshaw of Riverside; and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her brother, Joseph.rnCome celebrate 92 warm and caring years Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Casimir Church, Riverside where mass will celebrated at 11:00. Interment St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside. rn
