Gladys Anna Wells (nee Ball) passed into God’s loving hands on May 15, 2011. Born in Yardville Heights on May 12, 1922 to Elizabeth and Edward W. Ball (both deceased), Gladys is survived by and will be missed dearly by her daughter Trudi Desjardins, her son Edward W. Wells, grandchildren Sean Desjardins, Logan Wells, Amaya Wells, McKenna Wells, Elizabeth(Lee) Goode, Jillian Tustin, brother Wilbur(Lois) Ball, niece Nancy Ball, sister-in-law Joan Ball, nephews James and Kevin , nieces Lynne and Suzanne, sister-in-law Lillian Ball, niece Connie, and great-grandchildren Zachary Desjardins, Amber Tustin, Edward Tustin and Michael Tustin.rnGladys was pre-deceased by her parents, her daughter Beverly Ann Tustin, grandson Jeffery Tustin and brothers Edward Ball, Everett Ball, Boyd Ball and Joseph Ball. While raising a young family in Beverly, NJ, Gladys attended Beverly Presbyterian Church and worked at Century Mills in Riverside. Gladys enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, especially Bette Lee, and she will always be remembered for her pineapple upside down cake. Sewing, knitting and crocheting were a big part of her life and many babies in her friend’s families wore an outfit or sweater crafted by her. Gladys was a member of the Beverly Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed being called on to assist with fundraisers.rnArrangements will be by Sweeney Funeral Home in Riverside. The family has planned a memorial for Thursday, May 19, 2011, which will be held at the Beverly Fire Co. #1, on Laurel & Oak Streets, in Beverly, during the hours of 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Please join us in remembering Gladys and the long life she shared with family and friends.
