Helen P Acton

On any Eagle’s gameday Helen could always be found at the White Eagle in Riverside. She’d have her seat reserved, be wearing her team hat and was always ready to root for the Birds. While there, she was always up for having a Miller Lite, but rarely had more than two. In her younger years Helen was a drummer, and played all over the area with her band, The Wurst Trio, throughout the 1940s and 50s. Later, she worked at the Watchcase Factory in Riverside and Century Mills in Delran. By her later years she was content to watch some TV and conquer a crossword puzzle. But she was always up for grabbing a bite to eat, especially at the Golden River or the White Eagle.rn Helen is survived by her sister Marlene Conover (nee Acton) and her husband Ed of Cinnaminson her brother Ronald Acton and his wife Elva of Manahawkin and many nieces and nephews, especially Joan Tilsner (nee Bunting) and her husband George of Delran.rn Come celebrate Helen’s 88 wonderful years (Oct. 14, 1923-Jan. 2, 2012) Saturday at 11 AM at Morgan Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
