Jaqueline Erickson

Jaqueline Erickson

Though her adult life may have been a challenge, she was always concerned for the wellbeing of everyone else. Jacqueline brought her warmth and joy to many cold places, sometimes literally: she’d offer her coat to the homeless if she saw them shivering. Even in her untimely death she was able to bring hope to the suffering: Jacqueline was able to donate her organs through the Sharing Network. In her youth she played many sports, especially soccer and softball, but she even filled in during her junior year when the wrestling team at BCHS needed to fill their 103 lb. slot. She was easy going and all about her friends, but her closest bond was probably shared with her younger sister: they had a love of music, sports and spending time together. And she brought breakfasts and her smile to all the customers at The Golden Dawn Diner.
She is survived by her children, Michael and Kayla; her parents, Joann and Steven; her sister, Kimberly, her aunt Jean at home and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Come celebrate 31 years Saturday 8-9:30 at Sweeney Funeral Home, Beverly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, Beverly. Interment private.

    Mr. and Mrs. Erickson,
Jackie was my first best friend. During our Magowan Days, we were inseparable. When I think of her, I’m reminded of sleepovers and bike rides. She was hilarious and so pretty. Sometimes people thought we were sisters and that always made me happy. She was a loyal friend and a great athlete.
Thank you both for the great childhood memories at your home. You were so welcoming and kind to me. I wish you peace.

It’s hard to fathom that one of “my girls” from my recreation softball team would pass so soon. Jackie was a shining light every time I saw her. Always had a smile for everyone, even us coaches! Best memory is of the week she spent with us in Florida and Disneyworld many years ago. She will be missed.

    Joann and Steve,
My heart truly breaks for your family to lose such a beautiful, sweet, funny daughter. My memories of her and Sam in high school are so wonderful. Jackie is in most of our pictures from the high school years-sports, dances, just hanging out. She will be so missed by everyone who knew her. She’s such a bright spot in my memory. We send all of our love to you through this terrible time.
