Nancy L. Wigmore

Nancy L. Wigmore (nee Dadino)rnRiverside residentrnrn Nancy would have agreed that “whoever said you can’t buy happiness forgot little puppies”. Any stray that crossed her path could attest to this. Whether they be a dog or a cat she was fast to offer them a home, and it would not be long till their weight had doubled. Her love for animals even extended to mice, they’d be more likely to find a treat than a mousetrap in her kitchen. When it came to her pets her generosity was always apparent, but it certainly wasn’t limited to them. While her daughter was in college she was fast to take a second job to help support her. This was not only because she was so giving, but it also reflected the importance she put on education. Given, it may have been because she was so proud that her daughter was studying to be a veterinarian. Due to her 25 year battle with diabetes she had lost some of her mobility in the past ten years, forcing her to leave her job with Core States bank in Riverside. However, she could always find a way to amuse herself. She could often be found enjoying science-fiction or a horror movie. The unmistakable sounds of Vincent Price often emanated from her TV. But she also could be found watching Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer or taking a trip with Dr. Who. But she also couldn’t get enough of the History and Discovery Channels, where she would go to satisfy her fascination with paleontology. And when looking for a laugh she could always turn to the 3 Stooges.rn A young man named Robert was fortunate enough to cross Nancy’s path in her early 20s. He couldn’t stand to be away from her, so within a few short months they were married. Her parents, Thomas and Edith Dadino wouldn’t have had it any other way. Nancy’s life would be blessed by the addition of her daughter Dr. Kimberly Ashford or Riverside. She is also survived by her uncle, David Green, her aunt, Elaine Tieman and cousin, Jeanie Trzazka. rn Come celebrate 61 animal inspired years Saturday from 2:30 at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where the Funeral Service will be at 4:30. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Animal Welfare Association 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043.rn –
