Paul Orazio Cuzzupe

Paul Orazio Cuzzupe

“He cannot be a gentleman, that loves not a dog”- Author unknown. There was seldom a time in Paul’s life where he did not have a canine by his side. He was no stranger to rescue raids where dogs were being mistreated. And always one to adopt an animal rather than let it be put down, 14 dogs and 10 cats can currently thank him for providing a home. His other pets were his cars. From the time when he’d repair matchbox cars, to when he restored his 69 Charger (which, given the chance, he would’ve welded the doors shut), to the many Friday nights he’d spend in the garage restoring cars with his friends, he was happiest with his head under a hood. He was filled with a happy-go-lucky attitude and always ready to start a conversation with a stranger. And if they wanted to talk cars or animals, all the better. If not, his knack for retaining trivial facts would be enough to chat about, especially if you were watching Jeopardy. rnPaul is survived by his wife Alicia (Deel), and is father of Paul, Jr., Anthony and David, all of Fl., and Julia of PA., and is the son of Barbara (Snow) Volpe of Burlington, and the late Tony, and was always close with his step-father, the late Anthony Volpe. rnCome celebrate 46 wonderful years Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 9:30-10:30 AM at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM at St. Peter’s Church, Riverside. Interment Odd Fellow’s Cemetery, Medford. Dogs are more fun than flowers, so please donate to a fund established to help his rescued pets via The Alicia Cuzzupe Benefit Fund, c/o Hometown Heritage Division of National Penn Bank, PO Box 234, New Holland, PA 17557.rnrn
