Providing for his family was always job one. He’d wake up in the morning and head to work, stop home for a quick bite to eat, head back out to drive a taxi in Riverside, get some sleep and do it all over again. Working for him was a way of life, he always held two or three different jobs. In the rare times he wasn’t working he loved to bowl, watch old westerns, gamble in Atlantic City and Vegas and fish. He served his country in WWII.rnRichard met a young woman named Catherine Shaner at a firehouse dance.
