Richard – Senske

Richard – Senske

Like “The Quiet Man”, Richard was content to go unnoticed until action needed to be taken. When Alloway Twp removed the dam, he became a force to be reckoned with. Having done his homework, he knew every fact and ordinance. It wasn’t long till he spearheaded having the dam replaced. Good thing then that he became secretary of the Alloway Lake Assoc. and Commission and the Bay Pt. Rod and Gun Club. Rich never let a job go unfinished. This attitude saw him through his years at the elite Central High in Phila., and LaSalle University, and earned him 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for bravery when he saved two friends under enemy fire in Vietnam.rnRich met his wife Judy when she shot him with a water pistol to get him to notice her. 27 years later she still had his attention. Together they enjoyed their lakeside home in Alloway almost as much as they enjoyed sharing their common interests. Rich is also survived by his son Gary Fithian, Jr., a brother Albert (Carol), two sisters: Sr. Albertine “Cell” Senske and Carol Ann Moran, his beloved mother-in-law Mary Frederick, brother-in-law Bill Frederick (Charlotte) and several nieces and nephews.rnCome celebrate 61 wonderful years Thursday 6-8 PM and Friday from 9AM at Daley Life Celebration Studio, 1518 Kingshighway, Swedesboro, where the service will be at 10. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Salem Co. Humane Society PO Box 214 Carney’s Point, NJ 08069 or Vineland Soldiers’ Home, 524 NW Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360.rnrn –
