CURRENT CELEBRATIONS

Dominic Cicali

Dominic Cicali

Coming from a large Italian family, Dominic “Chubby” Cicali was one of 8 children raised surrounded by the love of food, laughter, and hard work.  His love of education, reading, and learning led him to West Chester University, and from there a stellar career at Burlington City High School where he influenced not only young minds, but young athletes and fellow educators.

Dom’s family was the cornerstone of his life.  He and his wife, Fran were married in 1960 and raised their 4 children in a home where holidays, life lessons and love surrounded their kitchen table.  Other than learning and his family, Dom loved the Phillies!  His season tickets brought him immense joy…. Even if he would sometimes call them “bums”.  Fran and Dom enjoyed traveling, their grandchildren, great-grandchildren and volunteering at their beloved Sacred Heart Church in Camden.

Dom was the ultimate gentleman, scholar, athlete, husband, father, husband, and Pop Pop.  He has left each of us with life lessons which we will always cherish.  Dom is survived by his loving wife Fran, his 4 children, Vanessa (Bob) Capri, Mike Cicali, Mark (Tondra) Cicali, Steve (Dena) Cicali, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with another one on the way, and his sister Grace Cicali
