Robert John Giovanetti, Jr

Robert John Giovanetti, Jr

Robert John Giovanetti, Jr passed away suddenly Friday, March 13, 2020. He was 69.

Born August 7, 1950 in Riverside, NJ, to Robert John Sr & Marie Genevieve (Britton), he was affectionately known as “Bobby”.

He graduated from Riverside High School and attended seminary for a brief period. He spent most of his life in Delran, NJ and more recently, Riverside.

Bobby thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of life. From his vast knowledge of plants and insects to his daily regimen of organic foods and exercise, he exemplified what it meant to take care of living things, no matter how small, and help preserve our world. He was thoughtful. He was kind. He was that one person you hoped everyone got a chance to meet.

Of particular interest was his appreciation of family. Although he never married or had children of his own, Bobby’s love of family was extraordinary. He was an eloquent writer, which was expressed in the numerous cards & letters he sent to family and friends throughout the years. His memory of dates and names was incredible. He recounted experiences through his storytelling with rich detail and enthusiasm. He could keep a captive audience because he sincerely cared about you and your well-being. He knew how precious life was.

We were blessed with his love and we will miss him dearly. And we will remember how grateful we are for God’s amazing gift.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, Donna, Joseph (Tracy), and Brian. Dear uncle of Matthew (Meghan), Lorian (Jeff), and Christopher; great uncle to Sophia and Isabel Giovanetti.

In light of recent events, a funeral mass will be scheduled at a later date. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal rescue or other charity of your choice. Mass cards and other expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the funeral home’s address below:
