Doris R Eastlack

Obituary for Doris R. EastlackrnrnrnShe’d rather have rather been out “in the good air under a tree” feeling free than cooped up inside. Doris’ mind was steel trap. Locked in there were everyone’s birthdates, anniversary dates and enough words to make her a force in word puzzles. Her memory was an asset when she worked as a bookkeeper with Swedesboro Trust Co and other Swedesboro offices. She introduced her grandkids to the finer points of customer service. When she was an Avon Lady they did the deliveries and collected payment while Doris waited in her Escort. In return she saved quarters minted the year of their birth to give them. Doris didn’t ask for much but what kept her happy was coffee, lemon lime soda and Coke. A social butterfly, she was a member of the Raccoon Valley Swim Club, never to swim, but just to mingle. She loved her activities and friendships at Genesis Health Care in Pennsauken, although she’d never admit it to her children.rnShe was the wife of the late Joseph and is survived by sons: Lyle and his partner, Roland Turmol and Paul and his wife, Marge; five grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. rnCome celebrate 86 feisty years Thursday from 6 to 8 PM with an Eastern Star Service at 7:30PM and Friday from 10 AM at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where there will be an 11AM Service. Burial Lake Park Cemetery. rnDonations to Bethesda U-M Church, 1433 Kings Hwy., Swedesboro, NJ 08085 will be appreciated rnrnrn
