Jane Stuart Schulze

She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Jane was born March 13, 1933 in Trenton, NJ, graduated from Burlington High School and lived most of her life in Willingboro, NJ. She was a graduate of Cedar Crest College, Allentown PA, with a BS in Education. Jane proudly worked for RCA in Moorestown, Willingboro Township, the US Census Bureau, and the Burlington County Surrogate’s Office. She was also the Office Manager at Carl P. Schulze Law Offices.

Jane was an active member of her community. She was a member of the Willingboro and Beverly Presbyterian Churches, Willingboro School PTA’s, the John F Kennedy High School PTA, and campaigned to establish Burlington County College. She was the past President of the BSA Troop 86, Women’s Auxiliary and the past First Lady of Burlington County Council Boy Scouts of America.  Additionally, she was a member of the AAUW as well as the Cedar Crest College Alumni Association.

She was proud of her family, her morals and family values that were forged as a child:  Jane was a fourth-generation farm girl from Willingboro, the daughter of James Cresswell and Eleanor Hartman Stuart. She was devoted to her church, enjoyed vacationing with her family, doing crossword puzzles, and needlepoint. Jane also had a special place in her heart for her daughters-in-law, whom she treated as her own daughters.

Jane met her late husband, Carl, while they were both attending college in Allentown. She is survived by three sons, Carl Jr. (Lisa), James (Sharon), Gregg (Barbara); grandchildren: Matthew (Dina), James Jr. (Jen), Michael (Nicole), Jessica (James), Sarah, Robert (Amy), great-grandchildren; Seamus, Jaxon, and Riley; her sisters: Nancy (Paul III) Bohne and Eleanor Gappo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband and her brother, John Stuart.

Come celebrate 90 great years Friday May 5, from 7-9 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly NJ and Saturday May 6 from 10-11a.m. at Beverly Presbyterian Church where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment Cooperstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Beverly Presbyterian Church, 121 Warren Street, Beverly NJ 08010 or a charity of your choice.

    Jane was a genuinely beautiful person. She always had kind words and encouragement for everyone she knew. My youngest sister Sharon was very fortunate to have her as a mother in law. Jane really did treat her daughters in law like they were her daughters.
