Kim Maria Dorety

Kim Maria Dorety

Kim Maria Dorety, age 62, passed peacefully on Nov 9, 2018. Kim loved to create, whether it was with pen and paper with her poetry or spade and fertilizer in her Riverside garden.   One of her favorite hobbies was gardening.  She planted a variety of flowers (pink and purple were her favorites) in her yard and took pride of her work.  Cooking homemade meals and family dinners were important to her as it would bring everyone together. She loved to plan events, such as baby showers for her grandchildren, birthdays and holidays.  Lucky were those who attended one of her parties or gatherings: she entertained with the best of them, especially at Christmastime.

But for her, there was nothing better than spending time with her family, especially her sons and grandsons.  She loved watching her sons grow up to be the men that they are today and was proud of each one.   She enjoyed watching her grandsons playing sports, entertaining them with arts and crafts, singing songs they would create together, and just simply enjoying “special” times. She will always be remembered as their “GRAMMY”.

Family vacations to Wildwood, OCMD, Disney and Chincoteague held a special place in her heart. She loved her girls’ weekends at the beach with her best friends:  Shari and Francine.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Jr. (Lori), Michael, and Scott (Korin); grandchildren: Michael Jr, Jacob, Justin, Sebastian, and Silas; Mother:  Virginia (William) Mortland; siblings: Margaret Peditto, Michele Pedittio, Joseph (Lisa) Peditto, and Mark (Jenea) Peditto; niece and nephews: Joshua (Cassandra), Anthony, Joey, Gianna and Tyler; grandniece:  Moxie.  Kim was predeceased by her father, Joseph Peditto.
