Zamoore Al’Aziz Nelson

9/21/20 – 6/12/21

Zamoore Al’Aziz Nelson, beloved son of Veronica Nelson and Ashley Barnes, gained his wings on Saturday, June 12th, 2021. Zamoore was constantly surrounded by love throughout his 8 months and 22 days and brought his entire family and everyone who was involved in his life such joy and happiness.

Zamoore Al’Aziz was born on Monday, September 21st, 2020 at 34 weeks. He was the answer to his mother’s prayers, her dreams come true. A born fighter, every milestone he hit was thoroughly cherished and praised. He grew to love anything musical, had an entirely infectious laugh that made anyone who heard it laugh right along with him, an appetite bigger than him, and a personality to melt anyone’s heart. His favorite color was orange as he would light up, hit, pull, and/or try to play with anything orange. He may have been here for a short time, but he has left such large imprint on our hearts.

Zamoore is preceded by his great grandparents Jessie and Ellowease Gatlin. He is survived by his mothers; his grandmother, Linda Gatlin-Nelson; his aunts, Quamillah Nelson and Shakira Taylor; his uncle, Geoffrey Taylor; his cousins, Na’Kyja Reaves, Isaiah, Gianna, and Arya Taylor; his beloved Godparents and a host of extended family and friends. He was loved by so many and missed so much by us all.

A memorial service will take place at Sweeney Funeral Home at 3pm on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021. The Family would like thank to everyone for their outpouring of love and support during this most difficult time.
