When it came to Shirley, she did it her way. Never one to hide her opinion, she told you it like it was, even being known to give out a lecture when needed. When she was right she was right, and even when she was wrong she was still somehow right. But she balanced her self-assertiveness with genuine affection. She knew how to give you a hard time, and make you love her for it. When it came time for leisure she loved bus trips to Atlantic City. But her tastes were as unique as she was. She always enjoyed the blood and guts of a good horror films as well as the sheer beauty of Ricky Martin. rn In her youth Shirley had a particular distain for a young boy named Ed. In fact, she used to ride her bike by his house just to yell at him. Funny then, that by her late teens, she went from saying “I hate you Ed Mourey” to “Ed Mourey, I do”.
