Mary arrived at Ellis Island with her family at age 11. Theyrnwere emigrants from Scotland and had only $10 dollars on them, but theyrnalso had the determination to make it in America.rn She was a graduate of Bordentown High School and raised sevenrnchildren.rn Later years found her working as a crossing guard in Willingborornand relaxing, watching some NCIS, reading romance novels, crocheting,rnknitting, and collecting dolls.rn She was a member of the Riverside Fire Department LadiesrnAuxiliary and a lifetime member of the Burlington County LadiesrnAuxiliary.rn She also worked for many years at Gambles in Riverside andrnRingling Bros.
