Jim wore a perpetual smile and was quick with a chuckle. He was reliable and determined to do good and necessary things. That license plate “SHS 42” always produced a smile and wave. After serving in WWII as a sergeant in the Army he returned home to farm with family. Later he became the Municipal Clerk for Woolwich Twp. and retired after 27 years. Retirement brought more time to golf (with Myrtle Beach trips), fish, hunt and bowl. Septembers found him in Townsend’s Inlet on his boat “Good Grief”. It was there that he taught his daughter and grandkids the fine art of pulling in the big one. Jim was active with the Paulsboro-Swedesboro Masonic Lodge F&Am #157.rnrnJim married his high school sweetheart , Marion Rainey and they spent the last 62 years together.
