If there was a void, Joy was there to fill it: her home was welcome to anyone in need. There was never any doubt that she loved her boys unconditionally. She ran a tight ship, but only because she wanted quality boys. Of course, everything changed when the grandkids came along: she went out of her way to spoil them. Her home was always perfect, down to her flags and mums, but Joy had made it a relaxing place: come six p.m. she’d be jumping into her pajamas. She read everything she could get her hands on and loved to write in her journal.
In 1974 she’d meet a guy named Francis at the Woodshed. In 1975 they’d marry; their home blessed by 3 boys: Mike (Jacquelyn) Weaver, Bryan Snow and Greg (Jennie) Snow. She is survived by her 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Michael, Sienna and Riley and her siblings, Ronnie Lambert, Edie Silverman, Shelly Cox, Jimmy Poore and Fred Poore.
Come celebrate 63 great years Tuesday 9-11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside.
