Obituary For Barbara A. StilesrnrnBarbara was truly a Swedesboro girl. Not only did she always reside there but her life journey began in the May Haffey’s Maternity Hospital , a Swedesboro institution. Barbara studied piano at the Philadelphia Conservatory and you might think of her as stuffy due to her love of classical music. Just the opposite was true. She was the queen of practical jokes and mischief. That toilet paper strung on Vanneman Ave. probably Barbara put it there , missing items again hidden by Barbara. At Gloucester manor she became an advocate for others. Her good advice to the administration effected changes for the patients. The gentleman there wanted her out of the football pools–she always won! Barbara was a reader and consequently won also at Trivial Pursuit since she remembered what she read. When teamed with Sharon Miller her mother and JoAnna Gahrs didn’t stand a chance.rnShe was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Graham Stiles and Louis West Stiles, a sister Jean Smith, and “Sparecat”. She is survived by a brother, Louis G. Stiles, of Lake Almanor, CA, a sister Carole Eastlack, of Swedesboro, beloved neices and nephews: Gail Eastlack, Priscilla DeMora, Susan Kline, Victoria Payne, Paul Eastlack, Frank Smith, Louis Stiles, JR, and her lifelong friend, Jane Sharpless. rnServices will be private.
