Jack always had an eye for detail, which led to his love of photography, and a career in the graphic arts. That career started in the U. S. Air Force during the early 1950’s when he was part of an aerial photography unit in Germany to evaluate the post war infrastructure. From the 1960’s to the early 1990’s, Jack worked for commercial printing houses in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, honing his skills to become an expert in color separation lithography. Jack was proud to have helped unionize one of the largest of his employers and maintained his membership in the Graphics Communication Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (Local 17). rnAfter retirement, photography became a passionate hobby for Jack. He loved to set up family portraits, snap candid shots at family gatherings, and to create artistic photos of flowers and architecture from around his Lower Bucks County home. He liked to tinker with cars, too. And he enjoyed hanging out with family, having a few beers, and talking politics.rnJack was born in Greer, SC, and as a young boy moved to Mount Holly, NJ, with his parents Otis and Ruth, and younger brother Joe. He remained a resident of the Delaware Valley region the rest of his life.rnJack is predeceased by his wife, Joan (Shaffer), his former wife Patricia (nee Cyples), and his brother Joe.
