She wasn’t a strict mom, but Gwendolyn’s kids knew what she expected from them. Earlier years found her working as a pharmacist assistant everywhere from Rite Aid to Rosvold to Cinnaminson Pharmacy. She was wiz behind her stove: her famous cake was the doll cake, she won many a baking competition and made all the family wedding cakes. She did the occasional bus trip and walked the boards from time to time; but she was most comfortable in her home. When her husband was Cinnaminson Fire Chief she was active in the Ladies’ Auxiliary.
The young Gwendolyn Evering married her high school sweetheart, the late Albert Curran. They were blessed with two children: Kathleen (Joseph) Weldon and Patrick (the late Judy Stephan); a granddaughter, Tamara Chamberlain and a great granddaughter, Samantha.
Come celebrate 93 great years Saturday 11 a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson NJ.
