Ed was a generous guy; patient to a fault. Though he raised a little hell, he needed peace and quiet in his home; if you cheered too loudly for the Eagles he’d send you back to Currans and he gave his kids lessons on properly closing doors. He was a Teamster and lived the life: he watched Mac Truck races and drove a quad box while, ummm, multi-tasking. He considered himself the greatest driver on the road, and inherited a nick name for it “Rand McNally”. In a previous life he may have lived down south: he loved to find his way into the woods on his quad. And he built his own rat rod, cobbled together with parts he acquired. But, the time he enjoyed the most was with his fur child, Huey (who couldn’t love a Golden Retriever and Yellow Lab Mix.)
He’d meet a pretty girl named Becky at Derbys; their marriage was blessed by his fur child, Huey Schroeder; 4 children, Rachel (Keith) Gray, Mark Schroeder, Steven Schroeder, and Samantha (Trey) Weston. He is survived by brothers, Wayne (Marianne) Clark and Jim (Joan) Clark; sister, Cherry (Phil) Szudera; grandkids, Kaitlin Weaver, Alexis Weaver, Kylee Schroeder, Carter Gray, Logan Schroeder, Cameron Gray, and Mason Weston; nieces and nephews, Linzy Clark, PJ Szudera, Emily Szudera, and Bridget (Giddy) Schroeder; and too many friends to count.
Come celebrate 54 great years on Friday at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside NJ, from 2-4 pm, where there will be a service at 4pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org or Burlington Animal Shelter, www.co.burlington.nj.us
