She had some hustle. When Heather had two jobs one thing was for certain: she’d be looking for a third. She did everything from working with the unemployed to manning the desk at Dr. Gross’ office to cleaning houses, working at Kohl’s and Acme. Though she had some serious health problems she refused to let it slow her down. Her yard looked like a miniature Longwood Gardens, especially her roses. And she loved crafts: ceramics, bunny dolls and her favorite, needle point. She had found her calling when she became a grandmother.
Year after year in grammar school she shared a homeroom with a guy named Dave. They’d share a seven-year marriage, lots of rides on his Harley and dinners at the Rt. 130 Diner and her beloved Vinny’s Pizza.
She is survived by her husband, David Gardner, children; Patrick (Melanie), Michael (Ryan), Kayla (Mark) Broadbent, and Dave Gardner JR, mother; Bonnie Heaton, sister; Holly (Paul) Siock, grandchildren; Emma, Brayden, Kennedy, Greyson, Adriana, and one on the way. She was predeceased by her father, the late William Heaton. Come celebrate 55 great years of her life on Saturday from 9-11am at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside NJ. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to donations.diabetes.org
