Debra Bordoni

It was easy to tell who Debra loved the most: she’d most likely be making fun of them. She was great to have around when there was a crisis: Debra would inject a little humor into the situation. Her jokes were quick witted and a touch on the dark side. And her language was colorful; like really colorful. But more than anything she was efficient: it took three people to replace her at Miller Truck Leasing. And as a mom she knew how to walk that tight rope between being a friend and being a parent: a proud mom, Debra never missed one of her kids’ events. Sundays found her cheering for the Eagles, except for when she’d get disgusted and have to leave the room. And she was an unabashed lover of animals, but nothing beat a Rottweiler. She liked to keep her mind stimulated. Debra enjoyed shows that made you think. She was a wiz a Candy Crush: she had to wait for them to invent new levels. And when she got loose she’d be heading off to her happy place: Baker’s Acres in Little Egg Harbor.

At one point in her life Debra had given up on the male of the species. That’s when a guy named Kyle walked into her life. They’d share a 12 year marriage. Debra is survived by her children, Heather and Daniel Hutchins and Johnathon and Alyssa Bordoni; siblings, Michael (Karen) Jewell, Ernie Jr. (Maureen) Jewell, Christian (Natalie) Jewell, Danielle Jewell, Michael Meli, and Dominic (Lauren) Meli; her mother, Betty Jewell;her dog Midnight  and she was predeceased by her father, Ernie Sr. Jewell. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Come celebrate 49 years Saturday 8-10 a.m. at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Resurrection Parish,  St. Casimir site, Riverside NJ. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Heart Association (heart.org)
