Gregory A. Caron, 68, of Freehold NJ. He was born in East Orange NJ and raised in Point
Pleasant Beach. He went to high school in Manasquan NJ to then go into the Navy.
Greg was a hard worker, doing everything from joining the Navy to becoming a cook at
Gallaghers. He then became a sanitation engineer and finished his career as a custodial worker
before he retired.
He enjoyed going to sports games such as the Mets and Giants. If Greg couldn’t get to the
game he would be listening to it on the radio or watching it on TV. He also liked playing cards
and listening to music. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Greg was a great
bowler and passed the love for it down to his kids and grandkids as well as his love for sports.
He taught his kids to be hard workers and that if they wanted anything in life then they would
have to get it by working hard.
He was predeceased by his father James Caron, his mother Gladys Caron and brother
James Caron.
Surviving by his sisters: Cheryl (Bruce) Sherman, Kathy (Wayne) Griffiths; brothers: Thomas
Caron and Douglas (Louie) Caron; his children: Gregory (Robin) Caron, Michelle Caron,
Jennifer Cole, Timothy (Alison) Caron; his grandchildren: Joseph Betterley, Anthony Caron,
Lindsay Caron, Matthew Caron, Sara Caron, Ryan Cole, Adam Cole, Liam Cole, Alexis Asti,
Noel Caron and Nicholas Caron. Also many nieces and nephews.
Come celebrate 68 years Friday October 9th 10AM- 11AM at Sweeney Funeral Home,
Riverside NJ. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
