“Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.” Bob was never happier than when he was out on the open road on his Harley and took many rides with his friends. Bob was always up for a good time whether it was having a couple drinks at the Surf City Hotel, renting a bus dressed as Scrooge , having scavenger hunts or Wednesdays at the garage. Bob loved to get away on many vacations with his friends and family :North Carolina, Naples, the Shore, Mexico, and Jamaica to name a few. He loved singing Sinatra songs and dancing. He loved the outdoors, hunting, crabbing, fishing and boating; . Christmas was his favorite holiday; he’d host family and friends , have scavenger hunts , played reindeer games , and played the greatest Santa Clause. He never missed an Eagles game, and loved to watch them with family and friends.
He could swing a hammer with the best of them. He was a natural born carpenter, which led to him starting his own roofing business , followed by many years in drywall .You name it, bob could build it!
He grew up down the street from a pretty girl named, Sandy. A mutual friend set them up on a blind date that led to a 43 year marriage blessed by 2 children Jesse and Abby , his proudest moments were watching his son Jesse play football, and getting to walk his little girl down the aisle on her wedding day.
But Bob found his real calling later in life; when he became a” Pop Pop”. Whether it was riding Maddy around on the Harley, or taking his grandkids to the aquarium, the zoo, LBI Kite Festival, or taking them out to eat , The word no just didn’t exist when it came to his granddaughters. Madison was always his partner in crime when it was time to go food shopping for the week. And you were always sure to hear “Give Pop Pop a squeeze” every time he saw Izzy.
Bob is survived by his wife and best friend Sandy , His children , Jesse (Gillian) and Abby (John) Sanchez; his two grandchildren, Madison and Izzy. His siblings, Debbi (Frank) Snow and Terri (Frankie) Ross; his mother-in-law, Norma Stanton; his sister-in-law Patty (Ron) Brock and Debbie (Ray)Gerber; and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Lois and Bob and father-in-law Edward Stanton.

Bobby was an awesome guy with a quick sense of humor. I saw him a few times in the past few months and we had a chance to talk. He was all about those grandkids! I know he’ll be missed by many. Sending my love and condolences to Sandy and family, and to Debbi and Terri.

We fondly remember Bobby always having a smile, always enjoying life. Sending love to his precious family…God bless all!
Bobby meant a lot to me. Especially at a time in my life when I needed my cousin. As a young girl I was taken in by Bobby’s grand mother and I will never forget those days when the Sheetz kids (my cousins) all made me feel like family. I idolized Bobby, Terri and Debbi and still do! With a heavy heart I write these words.
So sad to hear of Bobby’s passing. Always so much fun, whether at a family function or hanging out at the bars. Heaven just a lot funnier while our world just got a lot more sad. Sending my love and deepest sympathy to Sandy, family, friends, and everyone who loved him.
This world lost another good one! My deepest condolences to Bob’s wife Sandy and all his family and friends. Sending prayers!
