“Handsome Bob” was always in motion; he had endless energy. He loved his wife Dot family was everything. He taught his family that loving means showing up, no matter what. Because of him, none of them ever walked alone. Bob was there both to listen or lend a helping hand. He was tough (probably dating back to his boxing days) but fought the hardest for his friends and family; Bob helped just about everyone out of a jam from time to time. He found his real calling late in life; Bob was a grandfather for the ages. He never missed any of the grands’ events: every single track meet, recital, graduation, baby shower, birthday, holidays, first day of college, you could count on him being there. And come any vacations, the “wagon master” got everyone and everything to the final destination. If his T.V was on he’d be checking out some Andy Griffin or watching Fox News. Of course, he supported Trump. He was a truck driver and went to Trenton to advocate ICC rights to be changed for owner operators. He was often seen hanging out with the Delran Patriots at McDonalds, with his son at Bob’s Tires, or riding on the crab truck with John. He vacationed in Myrtle Beach, loved his Mustang and ended every day with a bowl of ice cream. He was grateful for his nurse.
He was the husband of the late, Dorothy, his wife of 61 years and is survived by his children: Robert D. (Denise), Cheryl Genovese (Frank), John, Edie Santos (Bert); 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Phyllis (John), Margaret (Charlie), and Lee (Leona). He was predeceased by his children, Edward and Margaret Loignon, his brother, Harry
