Josephine Poe (nee Kennedy) died peacefully on October 31.rnHaving raised 7 boys and two girls, her life was best summed up by one word: busy. She was the mom taxi not only for her kids, but for all of their friends. Family was always important: birthdays were never forgotten and she loved to visit. Josephine may have spent the majority of her years in the Delanco/Riverside area, but her youth in Ocean City left her with salt water in her veins: she loved the shore. Her collection of carousel horses gave a hint to her early life: her father ran the merry go round in Ocean City and she was the first ring girl. rnShe loved to gather her flock during the holidays, but she was especially partial to Christmas. She loved to give and get gifts, go all out decorating and her tree was always the largest. If she knew you for more than five minutes, you were on her Christmas card list. rnShe was the wife of both the late James E. Poe and the late Richard V. Tollmann Sr. and is survived by her children: Richard V Tollmann Jr. , Joanne C. Brown, Charlotte L. Miller, Donald E., Douglas W., Jamie D., Dennis W., James A., and Paul Lynn; sisters, Wilma Ireland, Ida Mae Johnson and Mary Guenther; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. rnCome celebrate 80 great years Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment private at the convenience of the family. Donations in lieu of flowers to lifechoice hospice, 200 Dryden Road, Suite 330, Dresher Pa, 19025 will be appreciated.rn
