Jerome David Solomon

Jerome David Solomon

At the young age of 16, Jerome enlisted in the Army, a decision that would shape the course of his life. His dedication and service to his nation led him through a distinguished military career, ultimately culminating in his well-deserved retirement. While he may have appeared stubborn and set in his ways to some, those who knew him best understood his inherent selflessness and generosity. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Jerome possessed a heart of gold, freely giving to others even when it wasn’t necessary. His family and friends often witnessed his transformation from initial brusqueness to a gentle marshmallow, revealing the depth of his love and care for those around him. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching classic sitcoms like Seinfeld and Hawaii 5-0. He took pleasure in cooking, despite the occasional culinary mishap. He took pride in his collection of model planes, meticulously displayed and cherished. An avid reader, he constantly sought out new books, particularly those of a scientific or covert nature. He delighted in solving crossword puzzles and immersing himself in games on his iPad, with Candy Crush being a particular favorite.

Jerome is survived by his daughter-in-law, Linda J. Solomon, and his grand-daughters, Jill (Dan) Solomon-Eickhoff and Danielle (Nick Gibau) Solomon.
