Frank “Chickie” Mufalli Sr

Frank “Chickie” Mufalli Sr

Everyone knew his top priority was family. Chickie felt like he could never do enough for them. A firm and loving dad to his children, he raised quality people. Of course he found his real calling late in life: Pop and Pop-Pop and Grandpop to his seven grandchildren. Earlier years found him working as a plumber for Local 322: a hard-working perfectionist who crafted things to last forever. Holidays were for bringing his family back together under his roof and enjoying the tradition of baking apple pies. He was a perfectionist behind the stove as well, whipping up stews and soups. If his T.V. was on he’d probably be watching the Phillies and the Eagles, he bowled for many years with his brothers on their team, the Alley Dusters and he was an usher at St. Peter’s Church.
He met a pretty girl at a christening. Chickie and the late Rose would share 64 years of marriage blessed by many laughs, a loving home and three children: Jacky (Dennis) Shilling, Frank Jr. (Linda) and Thomas; and later by grandchildren, Tony, Michael (Stephanie), Austin, Evan, Kelly, Patrick and Natalie.
Come celebrate 90 great years Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9 to 10 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Sacred Heart, Riverton. Interment St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside. Donations in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association (heart.org) will be appeciated.
