Allen Anthony Porter

February 18, 1953- June 13, 2024

We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2024 at the age of 71, Allen Anthony Porter passed away.

Allen was a man of principle and respect, known for his strict, yet caring demeanor. He spent over three decades at Griffin Pipe, where he worked as a supervisor before his well-deserved retirement. After he retired, he worked for US Pipe for a while. During his career he also worked as a bartender for King George and Sunrise Inn. He was an avid pool player, often seen perfecting his game throughout the Burlington County area. Allen and the team made it to Las Vegas a few times for pool tournaments where they received a trophy as a team.  His love for sports was evident through his support for the San Francisco 49ers. Allen enjoyed entertainment of BBQs with family and friends as well as being a DJ.  Allen enjoyed camping trips with his family at Belhaven Lake, and taking drives to Seaside for the boardwalk. He was married to the love of his life, the late Angela Porter, with whom he shared over 30 wonderful years. Together, they were blessed with two children and two grandchildren, Angela (Connor) and Patrick (Mackenzie).

Allen is survived by his children Angela Ann Porter and Patrick Allen Porter; his grandchildren Mackenzie and Connor; his siblings Debbie Porter-Dooley, Scott Porter, Denise Marie Porter, Robin Lynn Porter- Bogardus and  Brian Lee Doty. He is also survived by his siblings spouses, many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Allen was predeceased by his father Allen Porter, mother Elizabeth Onori- Doty, beloved wife Angela Porter.

Come celebrate 71 years on Wednesday from 11am-1pm at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside, NJ 08075, where there will be a 1pm service. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson NJ.
