Mary Lou Hoffman

Mary Lou worked for many years as an information operator for Bell Telephone and later Verizon as well as working at Faunce’s when she was a teen, but she found her real calling as a mother and grandmother. There were no better times than her sleepovers and vacations to Stone Harbor and Avalon. She had a love (borderline addiction) to QVC: one of the rooms in her home was dedicated to her purchases. If not QVC, she’d be checking out Lifetime and HGTV and she loved the sounds of Elvis and Patsy Kline. Mary Lou was always dressed to the nines with her hair and makeup just perfect every time she left the house, and she liked an occasional Genesse Cream Ale and Tastycakes. She was born in Riverton and lived most of her life in Riverside.

She’d meet a handsome guy named Tom, enamored with Mary Lou and willing to fight for her heart. They’d share a 64-year marriage blessed by 4 children, Scott (the late Lisa), Kim (Herb) Rambo, Jimmy (Beth) and Eric (Susan); 11 grandchildren, John (Kate), Brad, Holly (Joshua), Jennifer (Christopher), Kelli, Nicole, Aaron, Eric, Lauren, Nicholas and Joshua; and 6 great grandchildren, Aaden, Joshua, Everleigh, Eloise, Brielle and Chole. She is survived by her brother, George (Martha) Seeds and their son, Thomas and her sister-in-law, Joan Serio and she was the daughter of George and Mary Rebecca Seeds.

Come celebrate 84 great years Friday 9-11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson will immediately follow.
