CURRENT CELEBRATIONS
William M Craythorn Jr.
Bill was a jack-of-all-trades, a master plumber, an electrician, and a handyman. His meticulously maintained home and yard stood as a testament to his attention to detail and tireless work ethic. He worked for years at US Pipe and later as a maintenance professional at McMillian, bringing his skills and dedication to every task. He also served as a caretaker at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Delanco, where his strong faith and commitment to his community shone brightly.
In his younger years, Bill could often be found at the Beverly AC Club, shooting darts and enjoying camaraderie with his friends. With his beloved late wife, Carolyn, he cherished quiet getaways at their camper in Oak Creek Campground, PA. Those peaceful trips were filled with fishing, relaxation, and shared moments that spoke to their enduring love and partnership.
A self-described homebody, Bill found comfort in his TV room, indulging in his love for horror movies, “Dr. Shock,” and golf tournaments like The Masters. His love of family became even more evident later in life, as he took on the cherished role of “Poppy.” Wrestling with his grandkids were legendary, highlighted by at home WrestleMania marathons and his playful “whisker burn” finisher.
Bill is survived by his loving children: Terri Craythorn and Thomas (Maria) Sickler; grandchildren: Bruce (Emily) Spencer, Chrissandra Spencer, Brett Sickler, Holly (Joe) Severino, Billy (Amanda) Craythorn, Chelse (Anthony) Walther, Robert Van Eck, and Brandy Van Eck; his great-grandchildren; and his brother, Harry Craythorn Sr. He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn; children, Samuel Craythorn, William Craythorn III, and Martin Sickler; and grandchildren Lindsey Sickler and Samuel Craythorn Jr.
