William Hallman

July 30, 1940 – April 26, 2025

William Harry Hallman 84 passed away with strength and dignity on April 26, 2025, his loved ones at his side.

Bill was born and grew up in Kensington, Philadelphia with his parents, sister and brother. Lifelong friendships were formed on the streets of Kensington and during his summers spent on Long Beach Island. Bill volunteered to join the Navy and served his nation proudly. Bill met and married his wife Lori in 1967. Bill worked for Giles and Ransome as the Business Manager Sales Executive for 48 years, retiring at the age of 72.

Fishing was less of a past time and more of an obsession; he shared this passion and his wisdom with his friends, grandson and nephew. Fishing not only in the Atlantic but all over the world. Bill had a passion for antique cars and boats.

Bill loved to sit on the deck at the shore with his family enjoying a cocktail after a long day of fishing. Bill and the late Lori shared 56 years marriage and lived in Delran for 53 years, blessed by two children: Eric (Dawn) and Kristen (Phillip) Messina; and later by four grandchildren, Ryan, Avery, Olivia and Dylan.

He was close with his siblings, the late Harry “Bud” and the late Roberta Carr. He is survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

Come celebrate 84 great years Sunday May 4, 2025, 2pm – 3pm at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside, NJ where there will be a 3pm service.
