Christen D. Semko, 75, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2026, surrounded by his devoted wife, Karen and dear friend Lisa Cameron. He was reunited with his parents, Paul and Betty Semko; his loving in-laws, Elmer and Olga Lucas; and his sister, Michele A. Hannon.
Chris met his wife, Karen, in 1979, and together they shared 46 years of true love.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He served the Lord faithfully in local New Jersey and Pennsylvania churches since 1981. Whether serving as head usher, altar counselor, greeter, building maintenance, or portraying a Roman soldier in the Passion Play—and even Moses a few times—Chris sought to lead others to trust God more fully and to keep a grateful heart in every circumstance.
Chris was, and remains, so many things to those who loved him. He was deeply adored by his family and friends. 29 years ago, Chris received the loving gift of a donated kidney from his generous sister, Michele. Through many health challenges, Chris fought the good fight of faith and worked hard to keep family life as normal as possible. He was courageous and a true warrior. After his below-the-knee amputation in December 2024, he proudly wore his prosthetic as a sign of courage and tenacity, moving forward into his new normal.
Chris loved listening to gospel music, and spending quality time with his family.
For the past 23 years, Chris worked alongside his friend and boss, Trae Lamborne, at Egress Solutions in Mullica Hill. He recently retired on June 19, 2026.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Karen Mary (Lucas) Semko; his son and best friend, Christen L. Semko (Lindsey); his beloved grandchildren, Lucas and Grace , who were the heart of his life; his brother and dear friend, Scott Semko, and Scott’s wife, Dot; and his extended family & many great friends.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at Fountain of Life Church, Burlington, NJ, at a later date.
Chris’s faith, love, and fortitude through all he endured will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
