Jay was the kind of man you could always count on. Whether he was fixing a car, mowing the lawn, or lending a helping hand, he was always there with a smile on his face. He had a naturally happy spirit, and it was one of the many qualities that made him so well liked by everyone who knew him. In his free time, Jay enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock and Adele, as well as relaxing with a good movie or catching up on the news. Family was always at the center of his life. Even his favorite vacations were the simple ones, spent traveling to Stone Harbor to visit his sister and enjoy time together. As a father, Jay was his children’s biggest supporter. He was always there cheering them on, encouraging them to follow their dreams, and giving them the push they needed when the moment called for it.
Jay is predeceased by his father James. He is survived by his mother Eileen, his wife Lisa, his children Brandon (Cassandra) McKiernan and Valen Nori, and his siblings Veronica (Glenn) Mangano, Victoria McKiernan, and Kevin McKiernan.
Come celebrate 63 great years on Wednesday July 29th from 11am to 2pm. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Stroke Association.
