Tony worked at Mid Atlantic Packaging for 40 years before his retirement. He loved the sounds of country music and if his T.V was on he’d be checking out Bones and CSI. He did a little gambling on the slots and harness racing. Tony never missed an Eagles game and would check out the Phillies on occasion. He lived in Beverly for 15 years having previously lived in Edgewater Park and Willingboro.
His work earned him more than a paycheck: it’s there he’d meet his first wife, the late Laverne. They’d share a 22-year marriage blessed by two sons, Vincent (Julie) and Anthony “Tony” Jr. He’d later share a 20-year marriage with his second wife, the late Carolyn. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and siblings, Maryann Gonteski, Johnny (Florence) Gonteski, Stanley Gonteski, Eddie Gonteski and Richard Gonteski.
Family will celebrate his 84 great years at an upcoming memorial service.

Uncle Tony iyour gone but never forgotten love your niece Kathy
Rest in Peace Uncle Tony. I hope Mom Mom and Pop Pop were there to meet you in heaven. Uncle Tony was a big part of my developing into a responsible adult. His devotion to family and his work ethics showed us kids what it was going to take to make the most of our lives. I am eternally grateful for the life lessons he was able to convey. He will be missed by many who loved him.
