For Armanda a hug was a handshake from the heart, and her hug department was always open. Her grandchildren knew she was always there to offer her comforting embrace. Even if she wasn’t around, Grandmom’s love was still felt in everything she crocheted. From bedspreads and table runners, to dresses for her granddaughters, and their dolls, with a needle in her hand she could make anything. Originally from Portugal, she ventured across the ocean to join her son in Riverside. rnArmanda is survived by her son Antonio Andrade (Judite) of Riverside, and was the grandmother of Daniela, Marisa and the late Armanda. She is also survived by her 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Portugal, her brother in Brazil and her many nieces and nephews.rnCome celebrate Armanda’s 85 wonderful years (Feb. 22, 1925-Oct. 8, 2010) Wednesday from 9-10:30 at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside.
