Michael Scheuerer

Michael Scheuerer

Michael was a workaholic in the best sense. He took pride in owning and operating his own business for many years. His dedication to working hard didn’t stop at his business, he was  active in his community of Edgewater Park, and was a lifetime member of the Beverly Fire Company #1.

A thirst for knowledge was one of Michael’s defining characteristics. He was an avid history buff, always eager to explore and research political matters. His curiosity knew no bounds, and he was forever enthusiastic about learning new things.

Michael had a discerning palate, favoring German and Polish cuisine. Though he may not have been a culinary enthusiast himself, he truly enjoyed savoring the delicious dishes these cultures had to offer. When he wasn’t enjoying a hearty meal, Michael could often be found in front of his television, engrossed in shows like “Blue Bloods,” “NCIS,” crime dramas, and various fire-related series.

He had a special place in his heart for his in-laws in Florida that he loved to visit. He attended many fire conventions, always learning and meeting new people who work in different fire companies.

He met the love of his life, Debra, through the firehouse, having known each other for a decade before embarking on a beautiful 13-year marriage journey together. Their union was a testament to the importance of timing and fate in life’s grand plan. Michael is survived by his loving son, Jon, and daughter-in-law, Rebecca, as well as his two cherished four-legged gran dogs, Molly and Rosie; his in-laws, June and Ed, Rodgers of Florida, his brother John and wife, Carol Scheuerer of Florence sister, Karen and husband, Kevin of Riverton, and brother-in-law, Keith and wife, Deb of Burlington. Also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews who he loves dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Barbara Scheuerer.

Come celebrate 54 great years on Saturday September 30, 2023 from 9am-11am at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly NJ 08010. Interment Oddfellows Cemetery, Burlington NJ.
