Michael F Schwartz

Michael F Schwartz

In loving memory of Michael F. Schwartz, 54 of Myrtle Beach, SC. Michael passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 after a brief illness with family by his side.

Michael is survived by his parents, Henry and Marie (née Sabino) Schwartz, loving and devoted wife, Phaedra (nee Moore), children Kevin (Olivia) Schwartz and Kellie (David) Young, siblings Tamie (Rudy) Hobbs and Bryan (Rachael) Schwartz, grandson Theo Michael Schwartz, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Through his marriage he was a devoted stepfather to Elyane (Melvin) and Joshua. Michael was also a loving Poppy to Anthony, Ezra, Jasper, and Cora.

Michael spent most of his career in sales, but he loved serving his community. First, Michael followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and became a volunteer firefighter. Michael was also a Life member of Masonville Fire Company #1.  He would then spend years as a Councilman for Delran.

Michael was a gifted musician who loved to share his talent with others. He was a member of St. Peter’s folk group, played in the orchestra for musicals at Holy Cross High School, and could often be found on stage. He also shared his passion by giving guitar lessons.

Michael could often be quoted as saying his life began when he became a father. In recent years he relished being a Poppy to his five grandchildren.

Friends may greet the family on Saturday, October 7th beginning at 9 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church – 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ 08036.  A funeral mass will immediately follow at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Build Jakes Place, 5311 Magnolia Ave, Pennsauken NJ, 08109 or buildjakesplace.org in Michael’s memory.
