Barbara J. Wilmerton

Barbara J. Wilmerton

Barbara was born in and raised in Burlington and lived in Delanco for many years. She did a little fishing, loved her flower gardens, baked with the best of them and enjoyed an occasional round of golf, especially when she beat her husband. Quiet times found her reading the Bible and she attended a few Bible study classes over the years.
She met a handsome boy in high school. Barbara and the late Russell Harold Wilmerton “Bud” shared a marriage blessed by a son, Russell Reese Wilmerton II “Rusty” and a daughter, the late Susan Ray. She is survived by her siblings, Bob Bishop and Les Bishop.
Come celebrate 89 great years Sunday Aug 4 6-8 p.m. and Monday Aug 5 10-11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Beverly where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment to follow at Monument Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Vitality Hospice (vialityhospice.com) will be appreciated.
