Charles “Rick” Rickards

Charles Grant “Rick” Rickards, of Delran NJ, passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 92.
Born in Philadelphia, he moved to Moorestown NJ as a teenager. As a young man he was a delivery driver for Drink-A-Toast Company in Riverside NJ. He was remembered as the Drink-A-Toast man for many years afterwards.
He loved going to Irish shows, painting, taking pictures and motorcycles. He rode his Harley into his 80’s. He cherished the trips he took with his family to Lake Winnipesaukee NH.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Veronica. He is survived by his four children, Karen Rickards of Delran, Christine Rickards Solinski of Berlin, Linda Rickards of Delran and William Rickards of Delran; and also by his 3 amazing grandchildren, Patrick Solinski, Amy Solinski Freedner (Jordan) and Emily Solinski.
Come celebrate 92 great years Wednesday 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside where there will be an 11:00 a.m. service. Donations in lieu of flowers to Moorestown Visiting Nurse Assoc (moorestownvna.org) will be appreciated.
