In Loving Memory Debra Leah Misiewicz
June 18,1952-December 20,2024
Debbie (72) passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20th, 2024 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She is preceded in death by her mother, Geniveve (Jean), father, Leo, and sister, Nancy Venzlowsky (Paul). She is survived by her son, Keith Misiewicz, sister, Linda Schloendorn (Jack), brother, Kenneth Misiewicz (Terri), grandson, Vincent Misiewicz (Maddie}, nieces, Stacie Cooper (Mark), Jennifer Pennick (Carl), Jenna Misiewicz, Andrea Pickney (Warren), great nieces, Sarah Murphy, Ava Cooper and Olivia Cooper as well as many dear friends and relatives.
Debbie was born in Philadelphia, Pa but was a long-time resident of Lake Pine in Medford, NJ where she drove a school bus for elementary and high school kids who she cherished deeply. She was a graduate of Lenape High School class of 1970. She was a true friend who had a gift of connection and had many friendships to show for it, although sadly, Alzheimer’s disease took a toll in recent years.
She loved children and was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt and mother who gave selflessly of her time, money and effort. She listened patiently, sympathetically, advocated compassionately, cared deeply, babysat endlessly, laughed often and clowned around continuously. She could tease you, hug you, make you laugh and make you feel like you were the most special person on earth all at the same time. Young at heart, she was never too busy to talk, to laugh and to cry with you. Babysitting her grandson, Vinny and great nieces, Sarah, Ava and Olivia was the joy of her life.
Debbie also adored wildlife and animals of all kinds of dogs, cats, parrots, horses and ferrets. She loved her poodles and pugs especially. She was very knowledgeable and always had the right advice when it came to pets and animals.
Debbie was also a devout Christian who believed that she would be reunited with Christ one day. We are confident that she is in the arms of the Angels, joyously reunited with her beloved dogs as well as her mother, Jean whom she missed dearly and thought of often.
As much as we loved her, she loved us more and she will be forever deeply loved and missed.
