Geraldine Parker

Geraldine Parker

Everyone knew what was most important to Geri; family came first. If she heard about someone in need she sprang into action; no one ever had to ask. She was strong in her faith; active at St. Casimir Church (especially with the Casey Club) and watched daily mass on EWTN. If her T.V was on she’d probably be watching the Hallmark Channel, but more recently she tended to watch her computer to tune into comedy shows from the past. She never forgot her Polish roots: especially in her cooking she made the best Galumpki’s and on New Year’s Day you found her making Grochem z Kapusta for good luck. She loved Christmas and always had a fun outfit to celebrate in. She country line danced all around the area (member of Tri-State Dancers) and spread the joy of dancing by teaching it for many years. And, of course, she loved a little country music especially Jim Mitchell and the Repeat Offenders.

She is survived by her children, Kimi Lei Parker McKeever (Michael) and Jerry Parker (Linda); and grandchildren, Sean, Gabrielle, Veronica and Samuel.

A memorial Mass for Geri will celebrated on September 14, at 11am.
