Gregory David Carlson age 59, of Delran New Jersey passed away on July 9, 2021 following a brief illness. In a life which was all too short Greg was many things to many people. He was a devoted husband, and the father of two extraordinary and accomplished daughters. He was a loving son and a beloved sibling. He was a doting uncle who cared deeply about his many nieces and nephews.

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Christina, Greg pursued a wide array of interests as he and Christine raised their family in Delran, New Jersey. He was an athlete and martial arts competitor. He shared with his daughters a love of equestrian activities and was active at Wood Edge Stables. Greg also devoted countless hours to coaching his daughters’ soccer teams, an activity which gave him great joy.

In addition to his commitment to his family, Greg was a businessman and entrepreneur, who worked for Evers Corporation, Marshall Industrial Technology, and as a self-employed engineering consultant, work which took Greg around the world to five continents. Greg was also devoted to community service and was a past member of the Delran Sewage Authority.

Greg is survived by his wife, Christina, and their two daughters, Rachel and Emily Carlson. He is also survived by four siblings and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews including his sister Cynthia Heise, husband Thomas, and their children, Thomas, Christy and Rebecca; his sister Nancy McMahon and her sons, William, Michael and Gregory; his brother Martin Carlson, wife Alice, their daughter, Beth, and their son, Noah; as well as his brother Eric Carlson, wife Chris, and their three daughters, Sarah, Laura and Jenna. Greg was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law, William McMahon. For all those whose lives he touched Greg will be missed, but never forgotten.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Samaritan Gift Processing Center, P.O Box 71425, Philadelphia PA 19176-1425.
